About this product
Description
Belgasol from Belgica De Weerd is a pigeon electrolytes formula combining electrolytes, vitamins and trace elements on an energy-carrying base to speed up rehydration after racing or during the breeding season. It helps birds recover from sudden watery droppings when switching from crop milk to hard corn, replaces lost minerals during hot, demanding races, and supports youngsters as they grow.
Key features
- Combines electrolytes, vitamins and trace elements on an energy-carrying base
- Speeds up rehydration after racing in hot conditions or difficult races
- Helps with sudden watery droppings when switching from crop milk to hard corn
- Supports birds experiencing excessive drinking or grit and mineral picking
- Can be combined with other Belgica De Weerd products
- Faster-acting than conventional electrolyte solutions
During the breeding season, this pigeon electrolytes solution is typically given at around 25ml per litre of water for five consecutive days, starting when youngsters are about a week old, to support strong, well-grown chicks. During the racing season it is usually used two to three times a week at 15ml per litre of water, increasing to 25ml per litre on the day of homing, and it can even be given on the day of basketing. Choose the bottle size that suits your loft from the options above.
It is suitable for use throughout the breeding, moulting and racing calendar, and pigeon fanciers use it alongside other supplements rather than as a replacement for a balanced diet and clean drinking water. Always follow the dosing guidance on the label for the birds’ age and the time of year.
