Crown Solo One Coat Satin is a high-opacity water-based satin paint designed to deliver a smooth, mid-sheen finish on interior wood and metal in a single coat over a sound, similarly coloured basecoat. It is ideal for refreshing doors, skirtings, architraves, dado rails and radiators when you want a quick refresh without the time of priming, undercoating and topcoating in separate sessions.

Crown Solo One Coat Satin offers good flow and levelling, helping to minimise brush and roller marks, and dries to a hard, wipeable finish that stands up to everyday knocks in busy hallways and living spaces. Typical touch dry time is around 1–2 hours and the paint is recoatable after about four hours, so a second coat can be applied the same day if extra opacity is needed over a darker base or bare wood. Approximate coverage is around 12 m² per litre, meaning a 2.5 L tin will cover roughly 30 m² in one coat on a well-prepared, primed surface. Apply with a good synthetic brush or short-pile roller and clean tools with cold water. For bare wood or metal, prime first with Crown’s Quick Dry Multisurface Primer & Undercoat to ensure adhesion and seal porous surfaces; for repainting work, lightly key the existing finish with abrasive paper and remove all dust. Crown Solo One Coat Satin uses a low-VOC water-based formulation, making it a more pleasant choice for indoor decorating with less odour and faster clean-up than traditional solvent-based satins.
