For very thick rust or in areas where persistent rust problems arise it is recommended that Lowe Rust Remover Gel be used in advance of using Lowe Rust Primer
The Rust Remover Gel removes rust quickly and effectively back to bare metal
Liberally apply the non-drip gel onto the rust and allow it to work for up to 30 minutes. Brush the surface with a soft wire brush dipped in water, applying light pressure. If there is a problem of heavy rust which does not want to come off, RESIST the temptation to scrub harder!
The gel removes the rust in layers and any stubborn deposits will be removed with the next application
