About this product
Description
Push fit pipe inserts strengthen plastic pipe from the inside wherever it meets a push-fit fitting, and this one — also known as a pipe support sleeve — is no exception. Pushed fully home into the pipe end before assembly, it reinforces the pipe wall against the fitting’s internal seal and helps re-round the pipe after cutting. Choose your size from the options above.
Key features
- Reinforces plastic pipe from the inside at every push-fit connection
- Helps re-round pipe that has been cut, so the seal grips evenly
- Push fully home before assembly for a secure, leak-free joint
- Simple fit — no tools or adhesive required

These push fit pipe inserts are suitable for anyone connecting plastic pipe into a push-fit system, whether replacing a section of pipework or extending an existing run. It is ideal to fit one straight after cutting a length of pipe, since cutting can leave the pipe wall slightly out of round, which stops a push-fit joint sealing properly without support. Without an insert, a cut pipe end can also collapse slightly under the grip of the fitting’s collet, reducing the flow area and putting extra strain on the seal over time — the insert keeps the bore open and gives the collet something solid to bite onto. If you are unsure which size matches your pipe, check the outside diameter against the size options above before ordering, and if you are re-plumbing a section of an older system it is worth keeping a few spares on hand, since a missing insert is an easy detail to overlook mid-job.
