This sandtex masonry paint is suitable for most sound, dry exterior surfaces including render, roughcast, pebbledash, concrete, building blocks, facing bricks and previously painted masonry, though it is not suitable for common, fletton or engineering type bricks. Surfaces should be sound, clean and dry before you start, with new render left to cure fully first.
If you are refreshing tired render or repainting a wall that has started to show dirt, algae or early flaking, this coating gives long-term protection without trapping moisture behind the surface. It is also a practical choice when the forecast is changeable, since a shower an hour after painting will not spoil the finish.
