If you have bought an item(s) online at Total Diy and would like to return it; You can return your item(s) anytime within 15 days from time of delivery, to our store Total Diy in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow for a full refund or exchange. Our full address is at the bottom of this page. All we ask is that it is unopened and in its original undamaged packaging, and that you have your receipt and ‘Credit/Debit Card’ used to purchase. A note stating your name and order number must accompany the return if posted.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, seeds etc. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. Paint that has been mixed to your selection, please also note that choosing colours from pictures on the website may not be accurate due to screen type, brightness etc., it is always advisable to purchase a tester pot. All paint mixed is checked before shipping against colour charts and will be non refundable.
- Please note, when applicable, the ‘delivery charge’ will be refunded by Total Diy only if the return is as a result of our error.
- Returning an item during the 14 day cooling off period will be the responsibility of the buyer and must accept all charges involved. Unless due to a faulty item or error on our behalf.
- Any order fully processed for collection or delivery may incur a restocking fee up to 15% at the discretion of Total Diy.
Total Diy are happy to accept any ‘online product’ return as long as it is in its original condition and packaging is re-saleable within 15 days of delivery. Replacement products will be charged (including delivery) until the returned product has been received in a re-saleable condition. You will only be refunded your delivery cost if the return is as a result of our error (e.g. faulty product or incorrectly shipped). If we agree to provide you with a refund we will instruct our Merchant Acquirer to credit your credit card account within 30 days of receipt of the returned product.
Please note: If you are returning a faulty item within warranty but after 30 days passed since delivery with a receipt, then you may be entitled to a repair. If it can’t be repaired you may be offered a replacement and if it can’t be replaced you may be offered a refund. With the nature of any faults, each case will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
